Our Story
Exact Eye Care started out as a chain optical location, it is now locally owned by very our own Dr. LeAnne Gartland!
Our team is highly trained and motivated to give you the best quality of eye care possible. From eye health, to getting new prescriptions, to picking out the perfect frames for you!
We believe in community outreach, and receive most of our cliental through word of mouth. We are so grateful to our community for their support of us. We enjoying giving back when we can to directly benefit our community!
Meet The Team
Dr. LeAnne Gartland
Owner and Optometrist
Dr. LeAnne Gartland graduated from Gladstone High School before furthering her education of optometry at Ferris State University in their honors program. Her and her husband, Jake Gartland, enjoy spending time with their daughter Johanna, and walking their dog, Louie. She bought the practice in January of 2023. Dr. Gartland is dedicated to her patients and community.
Marcia Boden
Office Manager/ABO Certified Optician and Lab Tech
Marcia and her husband, Beau Boden, live in Wells and have been happily married for 24 years. Together they have three beautiful daughters, and eight grandchildren whom they love to spend time with. They also enjoy camping, fishing, and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes. She has been with us for over 34 years, and we are grateful for every second!
Bethany Belanger
Optometric Technician
Bethany lives in Escanaba with her husband, Nathan Belanger. Together, they have two dogs names Bluey and Nugget. In the summertime, they enjoy spending time together at his families camp and hanging out with their nieces and nephews. Once fall hits they like to throw football parties for their family, friends, and furry little companions.

Kaylee LaFave
Optometric Technician
Kaylee lives in Gladstone with her husband Jake LaFave who she married in 2022. Together they have two dogs, a cat, and their wonderful daughter- Iris. They enjoy hanging out with friends and family, and doing summertime activities. She is also an avid reader, and can always be found with a book in her hands. She has been a part of our team since June 2023.
Dr. Mia Hill
Optometrist
Dr. Mia Hill grew up in Rapid River, MI and graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2021. She has passion for dry eye treatments and pediatrics. Outside of the office, Dr. Hill enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, and gardening with her partner Tyler, their daughter Vivienne, and their three Dalmatians. She joined out team summer of 2026.
